(A RICH SMOOTH FINE RICE PUDDING) THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST POPULAR DESSERT DISHES IN NORTH AFRICA MADE FROM LEBANON IT'S A RICH SMOOTH DESERT FULL OF FLAVOUR, UNLIKE YOUR TRADITIONAL RICE PUDDING.
INGREDIENTS : 500ml of whole milk 100g of caster sugar 90g OR 1/2 cup of fine semolina 2 tsp of rose water 3 drops of vanilla essence cinnamon powder pistachios (crushed)
METHOD :
pour the milk and sugar in a pan and heat it up and stir for 5 minutes until bubbling now add the semolina bit by bit while stirring now add the rose water and vanilla essence keep stirring until you get a thick creamy consistency NEVER leave on the hob unattended or stop stirring otherwise you'll get lumps and it'll burn quick so bear this in mind. now when you have that thick creamy consistency remove from the hob and pour into small bowls sprinkle some cinnamon powder on top with some pistachios, wait until it gets to room temperature then cover and place in the fridge for 1-2 hours, or you can have it warm whichever you prefer. enjoy!
